~To overcome

(To start off with, you should have your Bible on hand.)

(My lil' sister Jess letting Dunny lick her hand.)

He is victorious
He is all-powerful
He is almighty
He is supreme

He is so much more but there are not enough words to describe Him! His being exceeds our understanding. But do you know that as followers of Christ we have access to all that He is?

He will give strength and peace-Psalm 29:11
He will give grace-James 4:6 (But there is a condition with that one. We need to be humble to receive it.)
He will give wisdom-Proverbs 2:6

These are just a few that I picked out so you go and find more!
Do you believe God? Do you believe His word? If you do, accept it! Cling to it! Believe it! And live it!
Here’s something for you to do. If you can, do it right now. You can say it in your head but it would be better to say it to God out loud.

  Dear Father,
I accept your word as truth and believe that you can show your power through me. That your grace is sufficient and that through you, I can overcome anything! Thank you God, for giving me the ability to be victorious.
Love,,
Your child who wants to know you

If you have time here are a few more verses to look up. If you don’t have time, write them down so that you remember to check them out later.
~2 Corinthians 2:14
~2 Corinthians 12:9-10
~Romans 8:37

Now the last thing is that God has given you all this for a reason.
“For God, who commanded His light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
He is now saying “You have found me, it is your turn to show me to others.”

“That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
  May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
  ~Ephesians 3:16-21

~Why are you here?

Well I'll answer that right away with what I believe. You are here for a purpose!
1. For God's pleasure ~Revelation. 4:11
2. To bring glory and honor to Him ~Psalm 29:1
3. To bring others to the knowledge and truth of Him ~John 8:32
4. To help set souls free! ~John 8:36

Sooo, how can YOU do that?
I'd say all those points can be summed up in living a life totally dedicated to Him. Your complete life and total surrender to His will is the greatest gift you could give God. Even if you personally never "win a soul for the Lord," by living totally for Him you will have sown more seeds than you could ever imagine!

What can you do NOW?
-Dedicate your life to God
-Identify lies in your life
-Become free of those lies
-Share what God has shown you, to others
-Start mentoring someone (younger sibling? struggling friend?)

As you can see mentoring others was the last on my list. You can not be an effective witness for God until you have dedicated your life to Him and dealt with the sin and lies in your life.

What should be evident in my life after this?
-Peace that God is in control and knows what's best.
-Love for others, a deep care for their soul.
-Joy, God is so good you just can't help but be joyful!
-Patience through trials and with difficult people.

There are more but are you getting this? The fruit of the spirit is the evidence! Oh but there is one I have to add that isn't 'technically' a fruit of the spirit.

-Hope because God is on the throne and has already conquered!

Just remembering that one thing can keep you from despair and depression.
God is always faithful!
Will you be?

~Snow Pictures

Hey I decided to post a few of the 'better' pictures from a week or two ago when I was riding Dunny in the snow. Kalin had actually asked so here they are! My sister Tashia took the first two then Jessica my youngest sister took the next four. Very fun and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!

(Love this one! The angle and the coloring.)
He even brought his head around back! I was like "Take a picture, quick, you better not have missed that." all while trying to look like I'm just smiling! It turned out really good though!

Then we ran back the lane. I started out nice and easy to see how slick it was but there was no problem. He wanted to go, I wanted to go, so I let him out a bit. I love to run! (Who doesn't?)
I didn't realize his head was up so high! Gonna have to work on that.

I also took some pictures in the snow the other day and was very happy with how they turned out. :)

My (baby) sister Jessica! I love photo-shoots with people AND horses! I took tons of pictures of Jess and Hank together but decided only to put on two.

~In His time

I don’t know if anyone realized it or not, but so far I’ve written my blog posts on Mondays. Well this week it didn’t happen because I didn’t have time. That’s when I began to realize that I shouldn’t be trying to have things happen in my time, but to trust God and wait on “His time.” This week I really felt pressed to write but I didn’t know what about and like I said, I’ve been busy. So I was learning about waiting on God this week. Really, you can never learn too much about it, because we constantly need to be asking God “Is it Your time for this and in Your plan?” Until then, we shouldn’t be moving forward in that way. Most of us don’t realize how much God can and will bless us if we simply wait on His timing. He wants to show Himself strong on your behalf; allow Him to. Thinking about waiting on Him always turns my mind to two verses. Most everyone knows them but do they really think about what the verses mean? I don’t know. Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;” How much of your heart? …All… Ok just checking. “And lean not unto thine own understanding.” I always like to emphasize the NOT. It says you’re not to turn to your own thinking. Well then turn where? It answers that directly in the next verse. “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He (Not you, not the world, not the most intelligent person out there.) HE shall direct thy paths.” Pretty self explanatory huh? So instead of thinking “Do I want to do that?” think “Does God want me to do it. Is it His timing?”

Here are a few more pix from our trip to VA. I had Tashia chasing the horses so I could get pix of them running. But unfortunately this is the only one that has her in it while chasing the horses. ;)

 Isn't it just gorgeous?
